MacKenzie Camp (on beautiful Mabel Lake, 35 km east of Enderby, BC) seeks a Head Cook for its spring and summer program, May 1-August 21, 2026 (16 weeks). The successful applicant will be dedicated to to the planning and preparation of a range of nutritious, appealing foods for all persons on-site (staff, volunteers, campers) while camp is in session, and to teamwork with other camp staff, including the instruction and supervision of the Assistant Cook and other kitchen volunteers. Time is a standard 40-hour week. MacKenzie Camp is an outdoor ministry of the United Church of Canada.
May 1-June 25- Rental and School Program: outdoor education activities for a nonprofit organization (7 weeks, approx. 25 overnight campers, 12 children, 13 adult leaders) and elementary schools (1 week, approx. 45 day campers, 40 children, 5-7 adult leaders). Time is a standard 40-hour week.

Qualifications
- Current Food Safe Certification.
- Experience cooking for 50 - 80 people.
- Experience providing diets for children with food allergies and special diets.
- Secondary School or Community / Vocational College.
- Level 1 First Aid an asset.
- Ability to plan a two week menu with input from the board and develop a grocery order.
- Experience in supervision is an asset.
- Comfortable working in a semi-remote location for the duration of the contract.
- Must consent to a Criminal Record Check.
