The BCCA exists as a vibrant industry-leader with close to 50 member camps across the province. We believe that safety and collaboration are the foundation upon which fun, educational programs are built.
When a camp has been in operation for one year it can apply to become a member.
Once a camp is a member (see Types of Membership below), they may pursue (recommended for all camps).

Camps seeking to bolster their safety and programming practices through third-party verification, access funds and discounts, and stay connected to camping professionals would benefit from the following:
Communication: |
Regular information bulletins (by e-mail), opportunities for networking and fellowship. |
Industry Discounts: |
Discounted fees for Annual Camping Conference (February or March), access to the Canadian Camping Association Insurance Program(s). Attend the annual conference > |
Marketing: |
A half-page listing on the BCCA’s fully searchable online database. Accredited Camps can display the BCCA logo on promotional materials. |
Funds and Bursaries: |
Ability to apply for the Lorne Brown or Dave Stevens Memorials Funds (open to Camp Members and Aspiring Members). |
An accredited camp meeting the operating standards established by the BCCA and having been approved by the directors. Camp Members are eligible to run for office within the BCCA and shall be accorded one vote each at general meetings.
Individuals from any non-accredited camp, or other interested persons having no camp affiliation. Individual Members are eligible to run for office within the BCCA and shall be accorded one vote at general meetings.
A camp that is working towards accreditation by the BCCA.
