Camp Potlatch is hiring staff for summer 2023! Come work and play along the sandy shores of the Howe Sound located just 50 minutes from Vancouver.

Camp Potlatch, owned and operated by BGC South Coast BC, is a wilderness based residential summer camp located on BC's Howe Sound for children between the ages of 7 and 16. Camp Potlatch has been in operation for over 70 years, with the philosophy of providing quality summer experiences to all children. We believe every child belongs at camp, so camper fees are negotiated based on a family's ability to pay.

For Summer Contracts (Contract Dates June 24th - August 25th):

Volunteer/Split Staff: Must be 17 years of age by June 30th, 2022

Paid Staff: Must be 18 years of age by June 30th, 2022

Minimum Qualifications (not required at time of application, must be obtained prior to start of contract.)

- Standard First Aid with CPR-C (all volunteers and paid staff)

- Bronze Cross (all paid staff)

- Previous outdoor recreation experience and/or experience working with children (preferably in an outdoor setting)

For kitchen-cabin (aka split) positions:

- Must have (or be willing to acquire) FOODSAFE certification

Two (2) references will be required after an interview has been conducted. Successful camp staff candidates will require a vulnerable sector check prior to start of contract.
