(Fulltime, 5 shifts a week, must be flexible)

Nature & Scope
The Sous-Chef assists the Food Services Supervisor in leading the kitchen staff team in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals for up to 550 people per day while maintaining a well-organized and sanitary kitchen area.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and cooking for high volumes of guests ensuring meals are served on time
- Following proper procedures for cooking and handling food
- Safe preparation and cooking for guests with allergies and dietary restrictions
- Maintaining an organized, clean kitchen
- Making sure daily and weekly cleaning checklists are completed
- Leading the kitchen team in the absence of the Food Services Supervisor
- Assisting the Food Services Supervisor with scheduling, supply inventory, and supply orders
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C
- Food Safe level 1
- WHIMIS Certification an asset
- Significant experience working in a kitchen, preferably a camp environment
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills
- Strong knowledge of allergies and dietary restriction safety and management
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to stand for a long period of time and lift up to 50 pounds
